However, when a horrible accident sends them spiraling, the trio must grapple with the most daunting challenge of their lives: facing their own inner demons.

Pickup on South Street
The 1953 classic starring Richard Widmark sees a petty crook that suddenly finds himself with confidential information. The noir classic is now on Blu-ray and includes a 1989 interview with director Samuel Fuller.

In Harm’s Way
Producer-Director Otto Preminger’s epic treatment of the bombing of Pearl Harbor details the devastating attack on the Hawaiian naval base as well as the explosive, behind-the-scenes stories. An awesome cast – including John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Patricia Neal, Henry Fonda, Carroll O’Connor, Burgess Meredith, Paula Prentiss, Dana Andrews, and a host of other notables – is interwoven into this account of the attack itself, as well as into the triumphs and tragedies of disobeyed orders, the American counter-offensive, father-son reunions, battles at sea, and layers of romantic entanglements. It’s a story that’s been told and re-told, but perhaps never so completely.

Just a Gigolo

Robert Forster, Joe Spinell, and Nancy Kwan star in this action drama.

Some of Our Stallions
Out July 2. Beautiful Bill & Andy, newly released from a mandatory stint at a mental hospital, are best friends. Their inability to conform to society at large results in some frightening “acting out.” After their therapist fails at advising them on how to reintegrate back into society, Bill has an epiphany. What they need, he decides, is romantic love. After a disastrous attempt at wooing “normal women,” they realize they need to meet women who are “genuinely crazy” like themselves. So they post up outside of a mental health facility for women. This is how they meet Bonnie. And though Bonnie and Andy soon fall into a relationship, Bill finds himself playing the part of the third wheel. However, when Bonnie reveals she’s pregnant, Bill sees a chance to get back in her good graces. His ensuing plan to rob a bank and give the proceeds to Bonnie kicks off a years-long series of madcap adventures that challenge not only Bill and Andy’s friendship, but their already tenuous grasp on sanity.
